Breakfast and Lunch

A nutritious breakfast and lunch are available each day.  Our school participates in the Community Eligibility Program which means all students at Taylor Elementary receive free breakfast and lunch regardless of economic status throughout the 2025-2026 school year,    We kindly request that each family complete a survey to aid us in securing future funding and Title I support.  Students can purchase extra food and ice cream if money is in their accounts.  

BREAKFAST PROCEDURES

Breakfast is served from 7:10 until 7:35 each morning. Students will eat breakfast in the cafeteria before going to the GYM. After 7:35 students will be given a grab and go breakfast that they can eat in their classroom.      

LUNCH PROCEDURES

Students will sit with their class in the cafeteria. There will be one door designated as an entrance into the cafeteria and one door designated as an exit.  Students must wash/sanitize hands before entering the cafeteria.  Students will choose their milk and silverware as they enter the cafeteria.  The cafeteria staff will get all other items for them.  They will not need to put in their lunch numbers.  Students may still choose from the regular menu options; however, lists of names for grab and go options need to accompany the lunch count.    Trash cans along with a cart will be placed at the end of each table for students to clean their trays and leave the tray on the end of the table as they exit the cafeteria at their designated time.  This process will become more efficient as students become accustomed to it.  

For the safety of all students visitors will not be allowed to eat breakfast or lunch with students.  However, holiday meals will be planned for students and parents during the school year.  Outside food items should not be brought to the school.  This includes foods from restaurants and soft drinks.  Please do not send drinks or other items in glass containers.
