Family Engagement/Parent Involvement
The Family Engagement Program at Taylor Elementary is designed to promote positive school and community relationships and to enrich the existing school program. Make sure you are a part of our social media to keep informed. Volunteers will receive training prior to volunteering on campus. Volunteers must remain in the PTO workroom that joins the cafeteria. Materials provided by the teacher should be left in the workroom for volunteers ahead of time. Volunteers will not be able to eat lunch with their child.
The following guidelines have been established for the safety and security of our students. As a volunteer, you must work within the following guidelines:
- Report to the office each time you volunteer and obtain a Hall Pass “visitor” badge. You will be asked to sanitize your hands before entering the building.
- Volunteers will not be working in the main office area, classrooms, or nurse’s station to ensure student privacy.
- Please do not bring any children under the age of 18 with you to volunteer.
- Respect school confidentiality while volunteering and sign the “Confidentiality Form.”
- Abide by the guidelines of the school, including dress code.
- Work to fulfill the needs of the students with direct guidance from teachers.
- Remain in the workroom that is connected to the computer lab
- Before leaving school, surrender you Hall Pass “visitor” badge in the main office.
